Why Do Marketers Target Females?


Yes, as we fast approach Christmas and the festive period we are being surrounded (if not smothered) by advertising. But have you every noticed quite how much of the advertising is focused at females? Whether you are a daughter, mother, partner or wife there is no denying that 80%+ of current advertising is focused at you. Regardless of your age, if you're female you are a key target to any advertiser, especially during key spending booms, such as the Festive Period.

Silver Surfer or Silver Dinosaur???!!!

Many people of my generation (60 plus) find it really difficult to get a handle on the internet. When we were growing up the only way to make a purchase of any sort would have been on a face to face level. However, with the advent of the internet we have had to change our often fixed ideas of etiquette, as it is possible to buy all manner of items without moving from your seat. Unfortunately it can be very confusing for us Dinosaurs.
